Course Description:

This course empowers participants to understand, navigate, and influence the civic processes that shape their communities. Through interactive discussions, real-world projects, and hands-on activities, learners will explore the foundations of civic responsibility, voting rights, advocacy, and public policy. Participants will gain practical skills in community organizing, effective communication with elected officials, and building coalitions for positive change.

By the end of the course, learners will not only have a deeper knowledge of their rights and responsibilities as community members but will also have created a personal Civic Action Plan to put their learning into practice.

Key Topics Include:

  •  The meaning and importance of civic engagement
  •  Local, state, and federal government structures
  •  Voting and advocacy strategies
